It shares many things in common: a HUGE cast of characters to explore, a long-form narrative format (meaning it's one long story rather than standalone episodes like "Law and Order"), and I've rarely met anyone who enjoyed LOST that didn't also have love for BSG, meaning you'll hold onto those of us who became Patrons specifically to gain early access to your reactions to LOST but are planning to leave once that show is finished. In other words, watching BSG is a good business decision. :-)
