My favorite season 1 character would be Tony, for obvious reasons with him being the protagonist and the most interesting. There's a reason Tony Soprano is hailed as one of the first and best TV anti-hero main character. He's just so layered and James Gandolfini plays his subtle emotions beautifully. What I love the most about the sopranos is of course how much its actually a family drama. And a real hilarious one at that. The light humor and dark comedy is so crude and witty and just overall well written. The show's breakdown of the psychology behind Tony Soprano and what makes him who he is and drives his actions is some of the most interesting aspects of television. This is why I thoroughly enjoy the therapy sessions despite most who only know Sopranos as a mob show see them as boring. Hope you guys come to enjoy this experience that is The Sopranos.

The movie that came out recently was dubbed "A Sopranos Story" but it's really a story all about Christopher's father (Michael Imperioli's character). It's totally worth a watch once you're done since it DOES spoil a couple of things from the series. Really stoked 'yall are watching this one! Currently on the 4th season rewatching it with my mom.
