There is a service called Cinemascore that movie studios use to gauge the reaction to the movies after release and predict how much money it'd make. The service works by polling people outside the theater as they leave to get a random sampling. This is one of the few movies in movie history that got an F on cinemascore... usually even the worst movies rarely get below a C.

Javier is God, jennifer is virgin mary, the baby is jesus, the first two "squatters" are adam and eve, the crystal is the apple, the brothers are cain and abel, the sink is the flood 😂 i love the movie but completely understand your reaction, it was hilarious

2021-12-02 04:34:57 +0000 UTCMrs. Movies hit it right on the head and then some. This is literally the only movie I ever wanted to walk out of the theater on especially after the baby scene. I believe this is supposed to be a metaphor for religion. Jennifer Lawrence is Mother Nature, her husband God, the two brothers Cain and Abel with the couple being Adam and Eve with Michelle Pfeiffer. The people destroying the home is a take on how we as humans destroy Mother Nature, the baby being a metaphor for baby Jesus, etc. THAT being said, it was definitely too much lol a one time never again watch for me as well. I feel ya Mrs. Movies!! 😂
