For what it's worth, Hellraiser Judgement was really better than it deserved to be but yes, I would skip the direct to videos

I think you misunderstood what was said. Pinhead said he was a demon to some an angel to others... meaning those who perceive him as an angel are twisted into feeling as though pain IS pleasure... ie; heavenly. Also, you need to watch at least till #4 - Bloodline. This will answer most questions for you. Everything after can be safely discarded.

Time to play!

Awesome! I think these movies are super underrated, especially the first 4! Pinhead is my favorite, Ik so basic lol but he’s just so iconic and his lines are incredible!!

Frank’s finger game was killer

Hell raiser is cool because it deals with Heaven and Hell as being one in the same as a concept. The dialogue of Pinhead implies this when he says “Demons to some, Angels to others.” The concept is also applied to pain and pleasure. Frank was so numb to mortal pleasures that he needed something more. So through the box he was given all new levels of pleasure just from a dimension in which it’s also pain. Really cool stuff to think about.

Surprised you never seen this before. Hellraiser 2 is just as good as the first and part 3 is decent but they get poor after that.

Love the miss pronouncing of Cenobytes 😂 (pronounced Seno'bites), Also, I think you may have misinterpreted the heaven/hell part. Essentially the doorways are both heaven and hell as one man's hell is another's heaven, that's basically the message. The doorways are both because there is nothing but pain when you die. It's Clive Barker's attempt at being metaphysical.
