I remember what a huge letdown this was for me after 4, which I really liked at the time. Wtf were they thinking?! Jamie is mute, Rachel dies early and is replaced by one of the most obnoxious characters in horror history. The barn scene is pathetic. The boyfriend “scares” them about 4 times AND cats jump out to scare them too. The kills are mostly boring and uninspired and Loomis is over the top with Jamie. And that prolonged car chase through the field is boring and lame.

2021-10-15 20:35:11 +0000 UTCI don’t like this movie too much. I DO think it shot Michael very well. His mask hits the right areas in the dark to look otherworldly, and the fact that he is present in the background of so many shots I think needs to return.
