2021-10-03 04:46:46 +0000 UTCJohn Carpenter was not keen on the idea of a sequel to Halloween. As far as he was concerned, that film was a one and done. But if he *had* to return, he made damn sure to put an end to Michael Myers once and for all. That's why he not only blinded him, but he blew him the hell up; he wanted no ambiguity as to Michael's fate. So the Mrs. is absolutely correct in that, for all intents and purposes, Michael Myers was d-e-a-d DEAD at the end of this film. But -- as Mr. Movies noted -- money has a funny way of getting around the impossible.
