I agree! I also feel the same about season 6 episode 12 and season 8 episode 12.

2021-08-19 22:57:11 +0000 UTCMy ranking until season 7 4 , 2 &1, 5 &7, 3, 6 Story development, characters and shock value played a huge part in this. Season 4 got it all, with John Lithgow elevating it above all else. Season 1 and 2 are right behind, epic stories, great characters and amazing twists. Season 5 and 7 really take a toll on Dex, with Lumen and Isaac being standout characters. Hannah McKay is also a very interesting adversary/lover. Season 5 started rough, but with the S4 ending all is forgiven. Season 3 was strikes and gutters. Really liked the whole Miguel arc, hated his brother, the skinner and Anton. The problem of season 6 was that it felt a bit too forced, and I didn't like Travis and Gellar. On top of that, I got onto the big twist in episode 6, which made the surprise feel underwhelming. The big scene at the end wasn't enough for me to save the rest of the season, even though the Oh God! was on par with the big ones.

2021-08-19 21:40:24 +0000 UTCMy heart was racing at the end as well first time I saw it. The difference between Deb and Dex was never more clear, the calm collected versus the emotional burdened. That final shot of them walking in slow-motion through the crowd is one of the most memorable of the entire show to me. The hollow empty look on Deb's face, and the perfect choice of Auld Lang Syne, sounding dim in her head. The words of that song will resonate and are gonna haunt her: Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and days of auld lang syne?

2021-08-19 21:18:08 +0000 UTCThe last 2 episodes were intense. And just watching the mrs getting nervous made my heart beat fast reminding me of how I felt. But ya know I just didn't like how Deb killed Laguerta. I thought it was out of character. I think they should of just showed her slowly telling Dexter to do it. Then watching Deb breakdown. I'll be honest good luck with the 8 season. Its absolutely horrible imo. It completely ignores what made the show Dexter great. I choose to not acknowledge it. The 8th season and series finale I thought was so much worst than game of thrones. That's why Clyde Phillips is back as the showrunner to season 9. To patch things up and make things more satisfying. I'm really excited for the revival!! And just as much time has passed for Dexter as it has for us since season 8. That makes it more exciting and intriguing! Its awesome watching you and the mrs react to this crazy ass show! Thanks!!

2021-08-19 20:00:18 +0000 UTCon the last doakes scene here in this episode where Doakes catches Dexter with the quote from the same guy they both met i always assumed that Dexter just read Doakes' journal but it occurred to me Doakes became suspicious of Dexter and Dexter knew the quote because the guy who said the quote probably told it to Dexter before Dexter killed him, so it was a guy Doakes and Dexter was chasing and Dexter was privy to information he shouldn't have that is part of what tipped Doakes off.
