2021-07-27 01:39:09 +0000 UTCIn the novel, Tony was a gangster who is killed in the prologue in room 237, and Danny is instrumental to getting Jack back to the hotel. The woman in the tub, if you haven't guessed, is Grady's wife.

Where he got the inspiration for the book. After a one night stay. Kubrick visited the hotel and said they're no isolated enough. You don't get enough snow. In an attempt to make up for it Steven King filmed a TV mini series of The Shining. Accurate location, the acting left something to be desired. Good luck finding it.
