He could be an unreliable narrator, or Yelena could have known who Ludyc was and then changed her mind+wanted to forget, or the nature of the myths of the region could have affected her perception of events. Or Ludyc is a creepy weirdo who steals memories, we really don't know totally yet. Gwen thought that Ludyc had kidnapped Aisling but that wasn't what happened, she agreed to go with him and stay there (and presumably had met him numerous times if her "I like nature" walks were her actually meeting him)

2025-04-06 17:18:35 +0000 UTCI'm actually kind of loving how he does show some capacity for caring for his children, even if it's in a very weird and somewhat cold way. He remembers all of the partners he's taken and remembers each child that came from that union. If only he didn't do that in such a creepy, rapey way - what with abducting and then leaving them once they were pregnant with no memory of who he was and how they got to be pregnant - then maybe I can see him becoming a beloved figure in this world. Which then makes me wonder - does he do that for wanting genuine companionship and is then cursed some how to let his lovers go with no memory of his existence? Love the subtle world building as always Frankie!!
