Pondering about Pom

UPFRONT THIS ISNT A CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT this is pondering about a big narrative reworking instead.

So a big issue I’ve had with pomegranate for a while now is a lot of the writing and characterization was out of my control, leading to portrayals that don’t sit right with me frankly, especially in regards to Demeter. (She’s a goddess I actually really like and I’m increasingly unhappy with portraying her as an evil shrew)

Full control of the comic is likely to come to me soon though which would give me the opportunity to go back and change scenes and characterizarions to be more in line with what I originally envisioned. Would that be something people are interested in?

I also will likely have to put the pages for the current scene on the shelf and take the narrative in a different direction to continue the story, but I also want to change Demeter before making that progress.

So yeah how do you feel about me changing the opening and kinda Demeter as a person and her relationship with Persephone ?

Comments

I'd love to see more of your vision for the characters but like, Can we at least find out who wins the vines contest, perse or hades? I have to know

C

I would definitely love to see Demeter portrayed a little more complexly, it kind of seems like her only purpose is to try and control Perse and be a problem, but like she’s actually a really amazing goddess and it would also be nice to learn a bit more about why she is so controlling

Ellie Barron

I think whatever makes sense for you is better for the story

D'Artagnan Wayland

From what I read (discovered recently), Demeter was indeed portrayed a little too much one-dimensional. Ofc people that are almost only control-obsessed and dominant exist. But what I like from your work is how we can get attached to every character, cuz we see their qualities too. Only saw quali-titties from Demeter so far 🙈 I agree she deserves more depth and complexity, like Hades has. So does her relationship with her daughter. I'm down for a narration rework !!

ToddEmon

i love your art and your brain. I'm down for anything as long as Perse pegs Hades 🥰🥰

eos

I just need MORE POM. We left at such a hard time. It was my first of yours. Whatever you like is good for me.

Natasha

Yes!! I really love Demeter’s mythology and wanna see your take on it!

Nox

to be quite honest, I didn't mind the "nasty mother" trope, but it seemed a bit...different from what I had hoped. it's still okay, but I love the way you write and the unique+complicated character portrayals you show. I would absolutely LOVE to see your perspective on how you see the story.

AurachNyd

i want to see what you want to see!

squidsan

I love the eleusinian mysteries, and I’d be so down for that

Firebrand

Excited to see your vision of it!

K

Show us what you want. It'll still be good for us and better for you

Arturo Mesirca

I would love to read Pom as you envision it!

Michaela Gadwall

Yessss so down for it!

Raven

Thank you for letting me know that because I always thought it was that Demeter was hiding Persephone from the other gods until she was old enough to join the pantheon. Like the whole time I thought that Demeter was like super controlling and protective of Persephone. So when Persephone was old enough to join the God's on mount Olympus , They held a party for her and Demeter was hovering too much, so Persephone went out to get some fresh air and she met up with Hades and they hooked up and he convinced her to go to the underworld with him because he like understood her better than anybody. And then while she was in the Underworld he convinced her to eat the pomegranate seeds and that's when Demeter like lost her mind because she hated Hades.

Dae dreamer

I also was kinda sad that Pers and Demeter had such a combative relationship. I’m down for your vision of Demeter to come thru 👍🏽

Alanakamakaila

Hell yeah!!!

_Pogona_

I feel the same in all those regards pretty much!

FrankensteinsMonsterFriend

I trust your authorship and am excited to see Pom resume. I like some of how Demeter is portrayed currently. I think it's a wonderful and poignant source of tension that she wants her kids to stay in their personification boxes (no or*gy for you: that's your brother's domain). I also relate a lot to the way she weaponises her disgust for Zeus toward her kids (gender fluidity?! you're behaving just like YOUR FATHER). It's a very 'bitter separation' trait that I've personally experienced, which I had expected could be resolved once Demeter learned to see her kids as whole people. I also enjoyed her sort of... Dom-lite scene with Hermes. All of that built a woman comfortable with her authority, yet insecure because of the long-lasting affects of her parents and peers: perhaps equally affected by the domain that is Earth as Zeus and Hades are by Olympus and the Underworld. That said, there were times where she felt a little... too cardboard, puritanical villain and it was at odds with the character and the story.

Jessica Alice

I'm definitely interested to read the new version of Pomegranate! :3

Tasha

I'd love to read your genuine version of the comic

Wargie

Yes, I want to read the true version in your wonderful kinky brain. I’ll happily read anything you make!

Ruth Charlton

What they said!^^

caitlin paleologus

I’d love to read that.

Toast369

Im here for whatever you wanna doooo 💚💅

Kamixa

Anything you do I will follow and love!!! 🫡

XSmall

Absolutely unequivocally on board! It’s your story to tell with the characterisations you want. I’m keen to see wherever you plan to take the story.

StrawberryHat

I love it!! Especially if it fuels your creative energy. 🥰 Happy to relive Pom as well

JessieCz

Getting to experience Pom again for the first time? Yea, absolutely please. I always was curious about Demeter’s portrayal ngl but never questioned it because who am I to question an artist’s work, y’know?

Bee

Personally I would love this. I'd love to see Demeter portrayed in such a different way! Also, I understand drawing/playing/writing a character in a way that you feel doesn't suit them or yourself, so please do! I'm excited to see what you do. *\( oUo )/*

Shinju

Yes. That's my answer XD Just yes!

legut

I’m very excited to hear your perspective!! You always bring such a creative energy to your take on things .. looking forward to it!! ☺️

Melanie Laabs

This sounds wicked!!!

Willow Taylor

I'm curious to hear what you're thinking of doing with her!

Sengachi

Yes!! Id love to see your take on her!

Linus miller

It took me a long time to realise that didn't say 'thinking about porn' smh

Amber

Yesss!!! I love that idea. I think demeters love for her daughter was a really important part of her character so I also don't see her as an evil bitch and I think your version would be more engaging

Amber

Yes.

tropey

If you feel like re-doing it, then please do so. I'd totally prefer a 100% version by you, instead of that you continue although it doesn't feel right.

LadyAnubis

I would definitely rather see your own vision of all the characters and scenes. If that means redoing some stuff, I'll be happy to see the redone stuff. You deserve to be happy with what you put out here.

Fox

Love to see your pov on her!

Cory

It’s your work, do what makes you feel right! I love Pom a lot a lot and while I’d love to get new story, I’m sure I’ll love whatever you put out!

dora_teh_explorah

Absolutely!!! So excited to see what you have in mind <3

Andrea

You do you my guy! I’m interested in reading whatever you put out :3

Win

Do what you need to do to be happy with it. It’s your creation, we’re just along for the ride! 😊

Danielle

That is the energy I want but I felt she was too malevolent and narcissistic for that transition to be satisfying. I think I don't even have to change too much to fix that, she can still be an emotional hurricane

FrankensteinsMonsterFriend

Do it how you want to do it. I can guarantee that when it’s done with your whole heart in it, it will be amazing. I mean it’s already amazing so I know it will be even more so. And I’m someone who likes to see artists put their own spin on things. I like to be surprised and intrigued. I’d be super excited to see your vision come to life.

MaterialGh0ul

This is how I feel too. I figured a "here's the recontextualization moment for Perse's (and therefore the audience's) view of Demeter" was in the pipeline. But ultimately whatever you want to do is fine, Franky! I would rather you create something you love than get frustrated and feel you have to quit the project altogether

Alex M

I will love it regardless of the changes you plan on making.

Angela Lark

Original myth Zeus sells his daughter to Hades without Persephone's permission/taking her wished into account and Demeter's grief is what causes winter. It's not her being angry that her daughter left, it's sadness her daughter was taken away. Over time, to give Persephone more agency, and as marriage has turned from a matter of property and decisions between men to a union more oriented to love, the relationship between Persephone and Demeter has shifted to give more reasons why Persephone would *willingly* leave with Hades and therefore why Demeter would still cause winter. One of the trope adaptations subsequently has become "controlling mother, rebellious daughter", but Demeter's seasons were originally an expression of her love and grief.

Alex M

I’d like a fresh take. I think when you follow your OWN characterization, the story will be better.

Arianna Lista

Don't mind how things are now, but I really just want to see it continue and wouldn't mind a different take, so whatever makes you feel like you can continue works for me! I love Greek mythology and have a soft spot for Hades and Persephone, so I'm super happy to see any more of it you want to give.

NormalGamerGal

Franky, I love your narrative and your characters, I really love Pomegranate, so what you decide will be fine for me 😊

EVT

I would definitely appreciate a fresh take on Demeter! I'm all for being patient while you edit. <3

Courtney Trowbridge

At the end of the day it’s your work and you need to be happy with it to want to keep working on it with joy rather than obligation. I’ve read things authors were making out of obligation before - it’s obvious and way less enjoyable. If things are going to change with your contract and you are able to make the changes to her character you may as well do them sooner rather than later. No sense in trying to change moving forward only to realize it’s too hard to shift it naturally and you need to go back and edit anyway.

KRDiamond

You do you! If you're not happy with it, change it!

Melanie Saul

Make it yours! I would love a different take on Persephone and Demeters relationship tbh, something new and exciting 🙂

Kiliarara

I love Pom and will support anything that you feel is necessary for it to continue. That being said, I don’t feel like anything has been set in stone at this point in terms of characterization. So you could probably take it in whatever direction you like without necessarily reworking what’s already out there?

Emeline

I actually do want growth for Demeter and felt she was too malicious to enjoy that development. I want her to be flawed and rude and overbearing and a traditional Greek god but I also want to feel good about her being happy in the end and feel like it was earned rather than "generally expected" if that makes sense

FrankensteinsMonsterFriend

Make it yours. You have good taste and insights into people. I trust you

folklore translator

But isn't Demeter super controlling and crazy? I feel like everything I've read about her is she super controlling. Especially when it comes to Persephone?

Dae dreamer

I don’t know that any permanent damage has been done to your depiction of her, I kind of assumed we’d get a redemption arc. Like her bitterness makes total sense to me, and not all moms are perfect even if they’re still pretty cool! That being said, though, you should feel able to do anything you want! It’s your property.

Ceci Dillon

I’m here for it. You do what your creative heart feels is right for the characters and story. We all love your work and will support you either way.

vintageg

Probably not the opinion you're looking for but I liked the story so far and as a reader was looking for narrative character growth. You see Demeter as an evil shrew because you're behind the scenes and know that was the direction you were given but as a reader I kind of assumed this was from Persephones prospective where as a petulant younger self grows up and learns more about life, their relationship and especially view of parents and the parents motives change. I've been waiting for Pers to have a little character growth, for perspective to shift or broaden, and Demeter didn't seem right to me but I also kind of thought it was on purpose given Demeter is a pretty good goddess and I kept waiting for the gods perspectives on each other to grow and change. Personally I don't think the beginning needs a rework, just the underlying plot. Pulling back the curtain to reveal that Demeter was supposed to be an evil shrew forever just means the direction was misguided but does make a really fine opportunity to make twists and growth appear, taking that brilliant art romantic build up into your own direction. Characters change and plot changes all the time so go whatever direction you want but for what it's worth, I think it's be a shame to totally rework Demeter at the beginning instead of having Perses relationship with Demeter change as they grow. Alot of people when they're younger think their parents are evil shrews and jerks only to find out that they're actually just doing the best they can for you later on... And vis versa, that people you thought were the coolest might not have your interest at heart...It's a pretty big part of growing, learning that people aren't how you first see them, which is what was happening a little for Hades and Perse while they figured things out together. Taking that growth into relationships and perspectives with other characters is also an opportunity opening to you.

K.lbl

I loved the pettiness of Demeter's early appearances in Pomegranate, and the blunting of her punishments by Persephone's powers (D turns Perse's orgy pals into trees, Perse turns them back, humans are traumatized and no fun anymore). I'm open to more depth, but I don't think petty is necessarily *bad*. I'd encourage you not to entirely blunt that element of her personality because the Greek pantheon was nothing if not petty.

Kate Alvarez Anderson

You enjoying what you are doing means the story has a better chance of surviving in the long term. Sometimes what we think is a final draft ends up being scrap variable 9, and that is entirely okay. It sucks to start over when you've already made progress and there will always be those readers who would have preferred a narrative go in x direction, but that doesn't mean it isn't the right answer. It is yours. You know what your story is better than anyone else. Do you thing, Frankie. ☺️ 🖤

Spriggan Peltast

Multifaceted characters are more interesting, so I'm 100% down with it. More importantly, I think you should follow wherever your creative vision leads tou. ;)

Lina7

Yes! I love having Demeter be the victim verses the villain in this story. I am all for the rewrite and would love to see this new narrative and direction you wish to take the story!! Can't wait to see which way you will take it once you have full control of the story once more! 💕

FoofyArts

I will love whatever you do with the comic! ❤️ We are all here to support you in creating the works you want to do.

Captain McDreamboat

I don't mind it as it is, but as the author it's your comic. People rewrite their books a few times before and after publishing, because they hit a stale mate either because they don't like the direction the book is going in, how the characters are, etc. If they can make changes, so can you. If you feel like in order to continue the comic by making necessary changes, do so

Kristen Hargreaves

Yes please, especially for Demeter ♥️

kanako91

Yeah! I was saying to someone else that Demeter is a victim in a high control abusive relationship with Zeus and portraying her as a villain in that circumstance feels terrible and I can't make it work when writing on my own

FrankensteinsMonsterFriend

YES the original myth is so heartbreaking and still relevant today to, say, femicide in Mexico and kidnappings (the myth really resonates with me personally), and I love Demeter as a concerned mother whose daughter just disappeared in a world with people or gods like Zeus around. All for this!!!!!

TiredPanda

I think you having full creative control over the comic would give you a great opportunity to rewrite it in your own vision, which I would absolutely love to see!

Otter[Poppy]

I think it's been fine, I don't see her as a shrew but more of a helicopter parent who is over controlling because she loves her kid and doesn't know how to manage a free spirit and keep her safe. But, you are the Creator and if how she is portrayed is preventing you from accessing your creative flow and enjoyment of the project, then you should do what feels right for you

Rae Esterlina

I'd love that.

Grægori

Tbh I don’t really care what happens to Demeter, I’m just here for Perse and Hades (and his horns and tail lol) 🤷🏻‍♀️ The side characters are all interesting and visually appealing, it’s fun to see the story unfold - but they’re not the main course. I don’t expect to love them all. That said, I very much look forward to seeing what you do with full creative control. I wouldn’t mind having to reread the whole thing if it were reworked either - it’s a visual feast, no matter what direction you take with the narrative.

LauraC

Franky dearest, it's your series, you do whatever the hell you want with it LOL I have a feeling we'll all enjoy whatever you give us

Maddy

Then hells to the yeah 👍🏻

Emily M

I'm down for a refresh. Have your narrative be the priority.

Xeybhls

It actually does involve changing how perse meets hades and would benefit for some new and different sexy scenes imoooo

FrankensteinsMonsterFriend

I am down for reading a redo, but first…will there be more sexy scenes?? 👀

Emily M

You do you, Frankie! It is your story and you should do what feel right with your characters! 💕

Catalina Vallejos

I’m happy if you’re happy!

Tess

i think you should do what feels good to you. it's your story and you're the one who has to write it. also, i have absolutely nothing against the changes you want to make!

glyn

Sounds great. Love to see reworks that are more in line with a newer or more ideal or truer vibe. Things change. Literal OCs that live in my head have had reworks and retcons. My partner and I do roleplay writing, and so we always have access to those older versions and storylines, sometimes we just need to go back in time and establish something, and then things happen in that creative moment that feel truer to the characters. Sometimes that means something we originally wrote gets scrubbed or bowled over but hey, like. Things can always be edited, handwaved, whatever. I've even retconned whole character designs because of xyz thing and like oh why did I decide this character is athletic/muscular when I designed them visually they don't have the kind of motivation to work out or interest in sports lmaooooo. So things as little as hobbies or interests to bigger things like design, personality, or major life events can ALWAYS be added, edited, morphed, shifted because who you are now or who you're writing with or the circumstances of your life change. As creatives we have that unique ability to change, adapt, and grow and find things more in tune and aligned with what we like. When you get the opportunity to write for yourself and others that trust and are excited/supportive of your vision no matter how wild, odd, horny, fucked up, cute, etc. it gets, it's liberating. For me that's having a long term partner as a writer and a lover. For you that might mean your platforn here! Seems like from comments already posted folks want your vision and want you to break free and go ham. I know I do!

Velhari

I think it's a great idea and you should be able to tell the narrative you've always wanted to! 💕

Emily

I blew up 120k pages of a book because I wasn't happy with how some early decisions spiraled into later decisions. Granted, it was all my fault, lawl, but in the end it was worth it to fix things. Do what makes you happy. We'll be here.

Quixlix

Please, honor Demeter 🙏🏽 trust your artistic gut. We love your art and will follow it wherever it goes. I also dislike the current/recent portrayals of Demeter. That old saying- don’t bite the hand that feeds you…some people could take that a little more seriously.

Elizabeth

I would love to see the work the way you envisioned just means I have more things to read in the future 😁 take the time you need though and don't stress yourself out about trying to get it out as soon a possible. I love all adaptations of greek mythology as with all mythology stories change overtime even during the times they were first told to represent modern understanding of things and I would love to see your interpretation of the gods and Goddess.

Laura

We trust you franky, go for it!

Rebecca Verrall

The best things come from creators who are comfortable and happy with their work. If you feel like you need to make changes, I'm behind you 100%

Sam Knies

I really enjoy the story you're telling with death becomes you. I like the depth of the story and how each character has Thier own motives which moves the story along. I think if you have an opportunity to take POM in another direction, knowing how good your story telling and character building is, im excited to see it! Thembo Perse fills my little enby heart with joy and goth mommy Hades gives me so much gender envy I love it.

KMW

I love the story basis but sometimes things need a big rework to feel right! I trust you to tell the best story you've got for them 🫶

Stolby

You do you! I love the idea!

KixOnyx

I want to see stories you want to tell, how you want to tell them

Dax The Magnificent

I personally think it’s a great idea for you to reimagine Pom as something you enjoy more because the audience will enjoy it more if you are genuine. Speaking directly to Demeter, she is one of my favorite goddesses as well and I think it is (in my opinion) a tired trope to have her portrayed as an antagonist.

Draconic

I feel you’ll meet little resistance from us around changes that align better with your will to keep the story moving forward 🫶🏻 Whether it’s small dialogue modifications or chapter re-do’s, if you feel like it, we back you up ✨

Karla

You have to make it something you want so that we can enjoy whatever you create. I say go for it

Klara Wilson

Changing it now will be better in the long run!

Joan

Honestly I would love that, and I super respect ur want to portray your characters how you want. As someone with an icky mother figure tbh it'd be nice if Demeter wasn't awful 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Sloane

Go with what feels right for you.

Kimberly

You do your art your way! Make it yours again!

BrilliantFoxFire

I think it's a better idea if you go with something you end up liking and that aligns better with the story you want to tell!

WeirdLittleThing

I think you should be true to your vision! Whatever feels right to you!

Charlotte Tassan

I think it’d be interesting to see your original vision for these characters and how it’ll impact the most recent chapters as well

mx. pretty!

I think this is a wonderful idea! Every creator should feel happy about their work, and you have the right to make any changes you want, especially in order to care for it more(which is Not to say that you don’t currently care for it. I understand from my own experience that it can be harder to work creatively on something that you feel isn’t working how you want it to) Also, as a fellow Demeter lover, I think it would be so awesome to see a non-evil shrew depiction of her. Like that sounds very exciting!

wawbadoo

If it makes you happier sir the comic, then it can only be an improvement. Go for it :)

SSC

It would definitely be cool to see a different view and how that would shape out to be!! Go for it!

Kinsey Newbould

Do whatever you want to do! And I'll echo what others have said; a different take on Demeter than the stereotype would be extremely refreshing to see. The happier you are with your writing, the more it will reflect in your work. Best of luck whichever path you choose!

Fiona Mooney

I like Demeter not as an evil character, but more like an overprotective/helicopter parent who has to learn that her baby is actually grown up now

Cheshka

I want what YOU want. This is yours and if I currently love it but you don't, I can't even imagine how much doper it can be!

Colie Kai

Demeter you enjoy and story you're having fun with let's fuckin GO I joined your patreon for Pomegranate I'd be hyped to see More but Different

Jill Tarrier

exactly what i came here to say😌

dufduf

When an author writes a novel, there are revisions. I see no reason POM shouldn't receive the same benefits. Can't wait to see the panels befitting your vision!

dabasketcase

I will always ALWAYS back a creator being happy/proud/every other positive feeling with their work because I KNOW passion translates into creative work. My art is writing and gods damned I can tell when my stuff just doesn’t vibe (even though technically or theoretically it can be a paper for the ages) it reads like dog ass because i don’t care for it and i’m just smashing it out because i have to. On another note, it would be refreshing to see a work Demeter is not a controlling narcissistic bitch 🫶 (but if she is, i’ll be a her hater too lmao)

Clare Sands

Sounds exciting and like the right thing to do!! I support it and think it’s very important that you as the artist and author feel your work is headed in the direction you want! Also, it'll be refreshing and interesting to see Demeter portrayed not as an evil shrew, i love that thought🤩

Fru blom

I'm here for whatever direction you choose. I've gone back and re-read from the start a couple times already, so I'd be down to start over with new characterizations

Alaina Patry

Maybe should have lead with: I absolutely love your story telling and characters, so do what you feel is best for pomegranate and I’m pretty sure we will love it

Katherine von der Bücherweide

It's your story to tell so go with it! I would rather you go back and rework it that shelve it indefinitely. So you do you and change/create your vision!

Karen Barbour

I don't have any issue with it. I would rather you be happy and not abandon the story just because I love the characters so much.

Claire Bell

Do what makes most sense to you as the creator of the story! And obviously whatever makes it most fun for you also ❤️

MessyJester

absolutely on board, i wouldn't wish it on any creator for them to dislike their narratives </3 i'll always back wanting to bring the best potential out of characters !!

tal

I absolutely am up for meeting a revisited depiction of Demeter, especially one you feel more content with; although in the hades/Persephone narrative she often acts as kind of a villain, I personally always welcome a more nuanced approach to those kind of antagonists, especially when there are such complex relationships and bonds in play as they are here with a mother-child-relationship, maybe also a lot of fears that might come with a child maturing out of your reach (losing control, losing a connection, projecting her own traumas/fears/expectations/hope onto Persephone) and this might even be hightened when you have deity power struggles or smth like that on top of it. So I would say take your time, go explore your preferred Demeter version and season that pomegranate with it 💪🏼

Katherine von der Bücherweide

Whatever makes you happy and excited to create your story. We've waited this long. What's a bit more?

ramoth

All for it!

Megan Copeland

I think that if you want to go back and change things before you continue with the story, you should do it. Its your story, your art. It need to be something you can 100% stand behind, nothing less. If youre not happy with the way certain characters are currently, change them

ZoaNoe

Never tell the story you don't want to tell, even if it means rework. Trust me. I've learned this the hard way. :Points at the pile of trashed, fully-written books.:

Kat Kingsley

I am all for the artist making the decisions that work best for their vision. One of the major flaws of the "release as you go" approach is how it limits the ability to go back and revise. Especially considering you haven't had total creative control, I'm all for you going back and reworking things! (Even though I really have been loving where the present scene is going 🥲)

Rachi

100% do it the way that you have been wanting to, it won’t feel right until then

I am into the story YOU want to tell. I’d rather wait and see the story that way. Plus bonus reread!

Badsketchbook

im here purely because i love your art regardless of what story its in so I'd definitely be down for a rewrite! at the end of the day, you being happy with the story you're telling is what matters most to us

Mousie

I agree! I am excited to see how the story progresses and would be a little disappointed if after waiting all this time for the story to continue, we had to wait even longer because the current story is being rewritten. Changing Demeter going forward would be a great solution!

Mara

Gahhh I'm so happy you're able to fix it! I'm looking forward to seeing the true vision

Allison Shaw

I think its your baby and you should do what you want with it. The original myth seems to be a story about a mothers desperation to protect her child from the what she believed were the evils of the world, from a forced marriage, even though it was seen as a humdrum common things at the time. I dont mind overbearing depictions of demeter, but I think grief and rage of a mother trying to protect her child should be respected. Especially cause it makes it more satisfying, I think, when persephone proves herself capable of handling things, just like her mom. Also, I really like overlybsarcastic productions video on persephone and hades, cause seeing that persephone actually has some pretty badass roots in her history and that hades seems to be the actual new addition is really cool.

Just a Mad Garbage Toad-cat

As long as there is more Pom I'm happy! 😁

whiterondot

Make whatever changes YOU are happy with, that will resonate more with us when we know you enjoy the story and characters more.

Mette Krangnes

I'm all for it. I also like Demeter and it was weird seeing her being so cruel. Overprotective? Definitely. But I never really saw her in a negative light like I can/do with some other gods.

Linds

I'm here for you and your art as you wish 💖✨️

melissa murphy

Frankie, it's your comic! We're here for your art and although I primarily followed for Pom, I'm more than happy for you to rework it until you're more content with what you're doing ♥️

cuteylexxi

I trust your judgment and your vision! Kinda sounds like I’m getting two for one here (I know the old one prob won’t stay up, but in my heart I’ll always remember it). You do what makes your story feel good 🫶

Ellen Stentzer

Maybe instead of going back and rewriting, have it be a change in character going forward? Have an arc where Demeter softens a bit or where she has a heart to heart with Dionysius. Something like that? No matter what I love this idea of revisiting the relationship between Demeter and Persephone

Natalie Rossing

This is going to entirely *your* retelling - you should absolutely change the characters to fit your vision of them. Especially if their flaws are so glaring it’s almost distracting you from moving forward.

Bunny

I think taking control and making it your own will make it a better comic! I am excited for any change you decide should occur.

Brooke Merrill

I'd really like to see your vision of Demeter, so I'm down for a rewrite!

BirdieDee

Think of it as draft 2, and I think it's gonna be awesome!

Sarah

I would love to see it!

MV

If it’s something that makes sense to you and sparks joy then go for it!

Bridgeotto

I say do what makes you feel good about your story!! Demeter is a big part of this story, historically, so you should feel good about her before pushing through. We'll be patient!

Em

Please follow the changes you’ll feel more comfortable with! I’m totally down for everything ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Sophia Diaz

Do what you feel is right. I'm sure lots of us will read it either way you go with it

Ngl I would absolutely love that! I feel like the impact it can have on the overall narrative is sooo worth it, and Demeter deserves to be portrayed wellllllll! If you have the motivation to do it I'd be super stocked to see what you'll rework. The rest can always wait more :)

Thinking back to the beginning, she was very harsh and mean, so I'd love to see what direction you'd take her in!

Kana

I support whatever you want to do as the artist and creator. I’m here for your vision ❤️

Shannon

I haven’t read it yet, but please make it everything you want it to be.

I am definitely interested! I trust you'll tell the story in a great way, when you're ready to tell it.

Kit Summers

I'm all for it ♡ it will be cool to see a new dynamic between them

Melissa

I say take it the direction that feeds your passion! I’d happily take a pause and changes rather than a full stop because you end up falling out of love with the project.

ArtWithDavid

Whatever feels the best for you and your work! I'll support it either way

I trust your vision!

I’m down for whatever you feel is best. Plus it gives me a reason to reread pomegranate again

Magic Butterfly

I would be absolutely supportive of changing the characters and narrative to suit your own artistic vision.

Id love to see how you'd characterize her and honestly the story now that you have full control over how it would be portrayed
