EDIT: i have had a complete goldfish brain the last few weeks so i'm going back through and adding all the details i forgot the first round. this one's patchnotes are just adding some sfx and texture

I feel like things will come together for more readers once we finish the rising action & climax (😏)/conflict for this story arc. We’ll know more about Ludyc and the significance of who he is/what he did & how that’s impact everyone. Also, when immersed in a scifi-ish or fantasy story line the audience has to really just embrace their suspension of disbelief for storyline that takes place in a totally different world with different organisms & culture & stuff - for it to make sense. Even with that in mind- it’s still in the rising action for this arc & for the story line. So it’s not totally gonna make sense yet ANYWAY. If it was too easy to figure out people would start to lose interest in the story & only come for the monster fucking. The mystery & suspense & need to know what happens next is what keeps us coming back.

2023-04-17 08:25:04 +0000 UTCI follow what's going on just fine :-) I'm not entirely clear on exactly who and what Ludyc is - seems godlike, but also like he's just a mortal who got wicked deep into (necromatic) magic....and that is causing problems. A self made god, a mad scientist style, but with magic. His magic is breaking reality a bit, through these shards. And who father's lots of children who don't die, and Aleksei is one of them. And Gwen can for some unexplained (but hinted at) reason channel and use Lyduc's magic. And recently she's become motivated to do something about these magical shards that somehow corrupt their surroundings. And hired Aleksei to help because he's immune to these effects.
