I'm sure you're happy to see this title from she who can't make up her mind - this time I signed a contract though and that being in the works has been a big reason why my stuff has been so wonky the last few months (mostly because I wasn't certain if it would go through or not) and I'm really sorry about that you guys <3 (They reached out to me about this right when I had decided to start working on Death Becomes You so it's been a bit of a thing lsdkjflskdjfjksl)
That being said, I just signed a contract with slipshine to publish that Hades and Persephone "Pomegranate" comic that I've been posting a little bit of on here which I'm super excited about because I've been wanting to get into comic publishing for a long time!!
The less fun side of that is I still have to work a full-time day job to have health insurance (America, yaaay), and I'm not able to keep up the same commission load I've been working for the last year or so with my day job and 10 comic pages a month. This means I'm going to have to do some really intense adjustments to how my Patreon and commissions work.
I'm not going to stop working on my commissions, but I can't do 10 - 12 a month anymore, it will most likely be closer to 2 - 4 (If I can handle more I will! But currently I'm not sure if that's feasible at all...) so I'm going to have to remove my $5 tier because I don't feel right having people pay for a potential slot they may not get for 6+ months.
What I've decided to do is several things to try to keep this as fair as possible;
1. I'm closing all commission acceptance indefinitely, until my current queue is complete
2. My current queue is at 31, and I'm going to work through that as quickly as I can - Pomegranate won't start being published until May or June I believe, giving me time to try and chip away at half of that list at least before I have to slow down.
3. I've logged the email address of everyone currently in my $5 tier, and when I open commissions again, I will give each of you priority before I open them to anyone else as thanks for your subbing here <3
My biggest issue with this entire situation is that patreon doesn't let you just stop billing people for tiers which is stunningly unpleasant. This means that unfortunately, you have to be the one to remove your pledge because I can't stop billing you on my end :( I'll be messaging everyone directly to try to give you a heads up and time to cancel your pledge if you only wanted to receive commissions.
I will be changing my $5 tier to more of a phatter tip jar/Pomegranate sketches and extras/poll option from now on, so if you'd like to stick around for that, that'd be wonderful! But if you want to head out, I'm so grateful for what you've given me in the meantime and I'll be emailing you once my commissions are open.
The $1 tier won't see any changes but I am posting this publicly so everyone can see what's going on.
As always, you guys are wonderful. You've really been helping me out in so many ways and you don't know how much it means to me that you like my art enough to want to support me, and I hope you enjoy Pomegranate, whether you see it here or out in the wild.
