Witch rough designs
Added 2021-07-22 15:34:46 +0000 UTCThere was originally going to be a fourth witch that was blind but there were too many characters to balance, so I sort of merged that character with Mono.
Usually when I name characters, I name them all after the first letter of their race. But with the witches I ended up reusing the names from the old version of the comic on Tapas. I kept Nethimir, I changed the name 'Muccus' to 'Mucku' and Mono was a new one I came up with.
Giving them names that start with N and M doesn't line up with the race name 'Octalia' but I thought it would be a fun reference towards my first comic. Plus I had trouble coming up with 'O' names that fit them.
Also when I first designed them I intended for them to have six tentacle arms on the bottom (which would add up to 8 if you included their top human arms) but that sixth tentacle always ended up looking cluttered, so I changed it to 5 on the bottom.
