Whether it's seen as a rites of passage or otherwise, I have left my hands bare throughout my time getting tattooed. The main reason for me is due to a fear of potential discrimination and rejection socially and professionally. Over time I've strived to carve out my ideal life and discard the fears holding me back. In a few days I will further embrace this change by getting my hands tattooed. It's not a decision I've made lightly. Like many other actions I've taken of late, it's something that symbolizes my commitment to my most authentic self and living courageously. I'm looking forward to the future, I'm grateful for the lessons of the past, and I am exactly where I want to be in the present. 🙏
