Patience
Added 2023-06-14 23:10:20 +0000 UTCIn this age of instant gratification, there's something to be said about waiting patiently for a reward or the expectation of efforts being paid off eventually. It's a truism that good things take time and anything worthwhile doesn't come easy. It's easy to say but hard to do however, and sometimes you have to take a long hard look at your actions and ask yourself if you're cheating yourself or falling short.
I'm my own worst enemy and harshest critic. It drives to me excel in some things but it is also incredibly hard for me to feel adequate or competent. I'm learning all the time how to be more self compassionate and patient with myself. I hope you do too. We're all a work in progress and we have to become more aware of managing our expectations and relative efforts. Xx
