Im is such a good person. "Come on Gabi! Get it through your head! Take it in!" ... "Oh, she's a tough nut to crack."

Are you still doing double reactions or was that a one time thing

I strongly believe that AoT must be written backwards, and that it was 100% written the moment they release Chapter 1! :D

Seeing this episode made me want Teruyuki Omine to storyboard Declaration of War as well, and not just direct it. The storyboards in this episode was absolutely brilliant.

I love the patience you have with Gabi. I see a lot of reactors, even those who empathize with her at first, start to get annoyed with her at this point. Even when I read this at first, being a non-Gabi hater at the time, started to say “Omg Gabi listen and use your head”.
So yeah she’s a tough nut to crack but we already know how stubborn she is.

I love stories that make it clear that all characters, major and minor, have been existing before we started following their journey and will continue to exist after we stop following them (unless they're dead, ofc)

Im before they even show the Sannes flashback: "Ah yes, this role of ours, it has an order."
Im after they show the flashback: "There it is"

Ahhh of course he'd notice the parallel between sannes and hange. I'm not even suprised anymore.

Thats not that horse tho :). The horse you're thinking of is Shallot and it belonged to the guy Annie killed back in 1x17. Its really unlikely that the Survey Corps found and saved the horse and then it somehow got into Braus's stables.

The discussion requires more uploading and editing time. Basically it takes longer to output so he decided to just upload the just the reaction now, so that people would have something, rather than delaying everything until the discussion was ready.

The discussion ends up being uploaded a few hours later than the reaction sometimes, it'll pop up soon.

More than anything I've always been impressed by Isayama's planning. Time and time again you can go back and find clear indication that he knew exactly where he was going with the story and characters right from the start.

Yea two little girls saved by two different people. One girl learned that you needed to find your inner strength to beat the monsters and the other girl learned that you need to save every life you can, no matter how small. I love how Isayama brought back two characters that would have been throw away characters in other shows. That a random kid that got saved from season 1's battle for Trost kept on living and grew up to become a relevant part of the story again.

The fact that you were able to remember Sannes making that reference to Hange even before they showed the flashback really impressed me lmao

God I will never get over your reactions and how you really pay attention and catch every little thing, even things that I hadn't caught no matter how many times I've rewatched and reread this series. You're incredible man, excited for the discussion!

Loved this episode! That conversation with Kaya and Gabi... Whew. That really hit me. "You were just born there". How true and unfortunate on both sides? Must be so crazy for Gabi having to hear and process all of this in a short amount of time. Fantastic episode.

I love this episode, the ending made me cry! Directed by the same guy who directed Declaration of War ep too
Never thought to connect Louise & Kaya’s arcs from this ep. Good comparison

Isayama's callbacks and reframings are simply legendary.
