For today's Mermay, I wanted to tackle a smaller mermaid again! I also wanted to experiment with the colours and do something a little iridescent! ๐ฅฐ
I've been really into drawing flowers lately! So I might do another floral-inspired mermaid but probably a giant mermaid! When I painted this piece, I was using the lasso tool a lot to block out some shapes which give it that sharp contrast between the values. I used the curves tool and selective tool to really bring up the contrast during the final stages! โจ
