Jolene and I have admired each others work for quite some time now, but we never got around to contacting one another to see if we could set something up. I meant to on several occasions but just didn't pull the trigger. Jolene is a Lingerie Fighting Championship champion. Imagine MMA in lingerie. She has toured the world putting on fights. It's quite the big deal in Las Vegas and other venues. She and I met up at Redstone and spent the afternoon wandering around and shooting and getting to know each other. Like I've said in the past, you never know what that first shoot is going to be like. Both model and photographer are feeling each other out. It is a little awkward. Jolene and I got over our first shoot jitters in a hurry though. Like I said I've been following her through social media accounts of some of my fellow photographers and she has been doing likewise. Photographers talk amongst themselves as to what to expect from a model, and models have several social media groups they talk in amongst themselves about photographers.

She has quite the story to tell. Actually, she is quite versed in marshall arts for real. She and her daughter survived an effort by her ex to kill them both, and she began her road to recovery by working out and studying marshall arts.

She is quite the woman and a lot of fun to be around. We decided that while this was our first session, it certainly won't be our last. Shortly after these photos were taken she was off to Egypt. I hope you enjoy this first shoot between Jolene and I. It was a very fun shoot, and she is a very beautiful young woman.
