2020 In Review

I had several shoots booked in April but they were all cancelled due to the Corona Virus shutdowns across the country.  Models that had planned on traveling were suddenly quarantined or confined to the cities they were in.  I went from several planned shoots to nothing.  I was then contacted by Sienna in early May wondering if I would be interested in shooting with her remotely.  The process goes something like this.  The model hooks her camera up to her computer and then contacts you and lets you control her computer over the internet.  Each camera comes with software that allows this to happen.  So essentially the photographer sits at his desk and controls the camera in the model's home or wherever and takes the photo.  The raw files, which are relatively large, are then transferred via dropbox or wetransfer or google drive.  The photographer then processes the photos.  This photo is the result of my first remote shoot.  The process of shooting remotely is a little bit unusual because of the lag time from when you push the shutter button on screen to when it fires on the camera.  The model has to be patient and so does the photographer because the files take a longer time to download to the model's computer than if you were standing there with your camera.  The photo quality is just as good though.  So like I said this was my first remote shoot.  There's a whole lot more coming.
