Mid-monthly ramblings
Added 2020-01-15 21:40:53 +0000 UTCHalfway through the month and what's new...?
Gameplaywise, not a lot as yet. I've been spending pretty much every spare second on new images so far this month, and if all goes well, there will be 60 plus new images added in Feb. Most of these will be Alice at her first size increase.
These are taking a lot of time. I have almost 30 done so far. I'm probably not going to have them all in place for the start of February, so the current plan is to add as many as possible for February 1st, release that version as the test and then get the rest of the images dropped in for the release of the stable version, which I'll put out as soon as this wave of images is completed.
Most of the remaining images are set up – they just need rendering – and that's what takes the time. If I get really pushed, I may just render rough versions of a few images as placeholders until I can get the full versions done.
I have about ten more images to set up ready for rendering and then I'll be able to devote whatever time I have left this month to tweaking the gameplay. This will be more along the lines of enhancing what's already there rather than adding much in the way of new stuff.

Haha, where rendering is concerned, I don't think any computer is good enough! But, if I actually start to make a profit on this at any point, I'm going to plough the money into my new graphics card fund. I currently have a GTX 1080 which is pretty good, but the new RTX cards speed up render times by quite a bit!
