Added 2018-12-01 17:40:57 +0000 UTCViktoria and I shot this set back in April. She had just received her Green Card and was very excited about being on the path to citizenship. She's originally from Austria and was a classical ballet dancer even though she was told her whole life that she was too big to be a dancer. She originally followed her dream and landed in New York where she danced professionally for a while. Unfortunately being told all her life she was too big took a toll on her health. She suffers from an eating disorder and almost died 9 months before this shoot. We had made a pact while she was in the hospital that we would shoot after she got well and this shoot was the result. I love her dearly and worry about her constantly, but she's getting better. I have some shots of her a couple of months before she landed in the hospital but don't usually post them, because she doesn't look healthy in them. The doctors told her that they have never seen anyone recover from the state she was in when she arrived at the hospital, but they hadn't ever seen anyone with her will and discipline. She is still on the very small side, but like I said, she is on the mend. She really likes shots showing the expansiveness of the desert versus her tiny figure. I hope you do as well.
