Ivy in Arizona

Last one for now.  This was the most explicit pose of the session.  Like I said Ivy is very comfortable posing in this manner.  It's a little out of my comfort zone, and we didn't shoot many of her posing in this manner.  There's a couple of models that I shoot with that don't mind what I consider to be explicit posing, but I don't really think you have to be explicit to create fine art.  To each their own.  I enjoy the change of pace, but won't make it a habit.

I really like the contrast of cactus and skin. It lends an air of potential danger to the model and pose. Ivy really wasn't all that close to the cactus but you can't tell that by the photo. I also liked her "what the hell" let's just get this one over with expression. I told her when we started that between the leg shots weren't my cup of tea, but she wanted to do a few. I think we got five or six out of the hundred or so photos.

Somehow I imagine to her it is simply a pose that she assumes photographers want after being asked on countless occasions. Again you have captured the more explicit aspects of the pose in an artistic form that works without being vulgar or crude. ;)) She has an almost bored expression again suggesting that this is a "what the hell" type of pose for her. ;)) Of course the prickly aspect of the cactus vs her soft vulnerability of her pose creates another interesting aspect of the art. ;))
