Hi all! Baku here with your Saturday devlog!

This week I’ve been busy drafting sketches of all the future minigames. I spoke with the programmer and it sounds like we can implement every one of them just the way we’d hoped! I recently realized that for minigames like this, it’s important they don’t slow down or impede the player. If the player’s good enough to beat them easily, then all the time spent waiting on various mechanics gets annoying and kills the appeal of the minigames. I’ll be working on that and thinking about how to improve the existing minigames as well.

Three more background Tifas in different poses are in the works for the reworked script. The plan is to add as many different people to the background art as possible to make the game feel alive, but it all depends on our budget😬 It’ll be what it’ll be.

The prologue artist is currently working on the eighth scene, which is the last major scene in the prologue; the rest will be smaller and faster to draw. We’ll slowly start tossing out some prologue teasers on our Patreon and Boosty pages 👀

The programmers are actively implementing the rewritten narratives as we speak. It’s going slowly but surely and efficiently👍 They’ve already begun working on the game’s mechanics too. The technical specs have been written, and the visuals are on their way. As that’s happening, I’ll probably start drawing inventory icons for the new items, of which there will be quite a few.
