FYI: Topaz Photo AI is Amazing

Look at this photo. It is a nice, sexy photo of Jen. It is sharp and of good color.

The second image is what we got during the shoot. The third is color corrected, cropped and ready for two more steps of processing and retouching. The last image is after running it through Topaz Photo AI, Bamm! I am done.

Topaz Photo AI has made the images from a remote shoot look usable again. I have about 10 sets that I never posted due to their lack of quality.

Here’s the background: During one of the many times I've known Jen, she was quarantined at home due to her medical condition. She wanted to do a photo shoot, but I was worried that my germs might make her more ill. This was around the time of COVID, before we decided that we wouldn’t see anyone else, so we figured we would just work with each other.

I came up with a way for us to shoot remotely. Jen used her just-okay phone camera while I shot her with the help of an app called Shutter. The process was slow and tedious. The quality was decent, if the camera could focus, which it sometimes struggled to do. When I finally got the focus right, Jen would move, and the app would react unpredictably. I don’t blame her; models do move! Still, there were always several photos that I could make look okay.

Now, with Photo AI, I can fix the fuzzy images (that's the technical term). So, I’ll be experimenting with a bunch of new sets. (In Kermit’s voice, with my arms waving in the air) Yeeeaaaaa!!!
