Proxer Status Update
Added 2019-04-19 18:39:06 +0000 UTCHey people. I've been holding off writing this for a bit, thinking id be able to work through it, but Ive just been making it worse.
The past month and a half has been difficult to create anything. Even something as simple as comic thumbnails have been taking 3x as long for no discernable reason, and inking feels insurmountable. I had suspected it was feeling burnt out from having focused on one project for so long, combined with wanting to have the last few pages of this chapter of Dancers Reflection finished before im out of the country for 3 weeks near the end of May.
Lately the feeling has gotten worse, going from feeling incapable to straight up moments of panic from encroaching deadlines, missed patron rewards, and being unable to reliably muster even an hour of drawing. I'd thought that setting smaller to-do's would have helped, or taking some time to explore little ideas aside from Patreon would have helped, but having either of those go unfinished just seemed to make things worse when I felt like "I couldnt even do the smallest thing."
So, I truely hate to do this so close to the end of this Dancer's chapter, but I'm going to be taking some time off so i can properly recover. I want to approach this comic passionately, and because I want to tell a story, and not because there's a deadline at the end of the month
That being said, since this is a Pay-per-Page Patreon, you wont be charged for anything you're not getting in this time. I do fully intend to put time into pages in the interum, but without some of the pressure of deadlines that has been causing me grief.
I want to thank everyone of you for sticking with me through these projects, and I hope to be getting back to them as soon as possible, and with renewed enthusiasm. I will keep you all posted.
