2025-07-08 15:27:17 +0000 UTCAlright, just to clear up the grammar school thing because I saw the confusion and know it has a very different definition in the States: in the UK it's an academically selective state (public) secondary school/high school. Mix CDs died out shortly after this, I think. The elite medium for making people mixes was tapes, because you couldn't skip tracks so it all had to be listened to in the correct order, and they were a total pain in the arse to make so they were a truer expression of your feelings, or something. I may or may not have just made that last bit up.
