Yes, it was an insane episode, but extremely funny and one of the best in the entire series IMO. I think you’ll get your wish about wanting Jay, Neil and Simon to get more of the spotlight in upcoming episodes - especially Simon in the first episode of season 3!!! 🤣

2025-06-24 11:27:38 +0000 UTCI don’t remember my school ever doing the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, which isn’t to say it didn’t, but I mostly associated it with outdoor types and most of my friends were some combination of lazy and stoned, so it wasn’t really a thing for anyone I knew. I feel like it was something pursued by a friend I had who moved to the Lake District and got into running and hiking before it was fashionable. God bless those last vestiges of slacker culture. Congratulations on another successful orbit of the sun.

I looked after my mum at a nursing home for 3 years until she died during the pandemic, and neither she nor any of the other elderly there smelled bad. Why is it still acceptable to make bigoted jokes about the elderly when it's obviously not any longer about black people etc?

There’s bronze, silver and gold awards and you have do volunteering, planning an expedition, learn a new skill and some sort of physical activity to pass each level. I only remember going on a hike and camping trip with my classmates for it.
