I'm pretty sure it was 2 girls 1 cup - the infamous internet shock video from the era this aired. Same music anyway

Rach

Movie they watched at the beginning was called Animal Farm, an illegal corn video from the 80s. Think you can imagine the rest

Craig Fowler

Hey Klaire, I need you to watch the inbetweeners S2E5. There are some heartwarming scenes in it that I think you will really enjoy. #NoCringe.

Alan

This is not the only time Simon or one of the others get into trouble for something Jay says

Anonymous User

knife crime has been cracked down on recently i dont think its as bad as it was a couple years ago but its definitely not gone anywhere

γ…‹

They were watching '2 girls 1 cup'

Adam

Its not as bad as the stereotype, its worse

Zach Best

You should rewind a bit after pausing in the middle of a sentence

Ducactus

Guessing you're too young to know, but they were watching 'Two Girls One Cup' - and no, you dont want to watch it

Inter Malager

Interestingly, knife crime is actually equally as bad per capita in the US as it is in the UK, but the US just has gun crime on top of that. Then if you're looking at homicide statistics, the worst US cities tend to be over 10x worse than the worse European cities, with the safest US cities tending to be on par with the worst European cities.

The one Scottish character in the whole Inbetweeners just had to be a tramp fs 🀣

Aye Ready

I think she'll like Father Ted but I think Bottom is more of a male thing. It's great though.

Aether

Yes, this episode isn't the best, but the next episode is AWESOME, and as an added bonus, there's basically zero cringe* (* terms and conditions apply)

Alan

The audio balance is back to as bad as I have ever heard it, Klaire! I'm back to barely hearing them but worrying what people passing in the street will think I am listening to when you speak... πŸ˜‹

As a Londoner, I couldn't have put it better myself!

Eddy

I've lived in London since 1982, south of the river in what some people consider a rough area, and have always felt perfectly safe walking around just about any area at all times of the day and night. If anything, it's safer nowadays.

Eddy

London really isn't as bad as the stereotype says. But its a massive city - like 10m people - so there's always going to be trouble in certain areas

William Ostler

I think you should watch Father Ted and Bottom

Bill

I got stabbed by a drawing pin once

Bill

Audio is quite low on the show compared to your voice

Tayler Morris

I was thinking about the Astoria the other day. I miss it frequently. It was much better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) than the fictional Astoria here. London is like any city where, as you say, it's dangerous if you're stupid. Despite the lurid headlines and lies written on social media, it's a pretty safe city. The West End, where they go, is now totally Disneyfied like Times Square, the only person robbing you there these days is the proprietor of a yuppie restaurant or bar, or luxury fashion flagship store.

Charlie

2 Girls 1 Cup was obviously before Klaire's time:)

Jay

People do have guns over here... criminals and some legal owners..but it's more common for stabbings to happen....but gang members do also shoot each other....and sometimes unfortunately innocent people get hit, just like in the states.

Nightclub age is typically 18. I've only been to mainstream clubs once or twice - I prefer raves/squats etc. that don't have dress codes. I lived in London for a few years - never ran into any trouble but a few friends got mugged at knife-point. Also, during that time, my flatmate's boyfriend said he got attacked sometimes. I guess he had that kind of look, so people often started on him. That was all ages ago - maybe it's worse now.

Hurrakan

Dress code when this was filmed most places would not allow trainers but in recent years it has been relaxed just places don't allow tracksuit bottoms (joggers) and caps/hats on
