Klaire: I'm beginning to think watching this and The Inbetweeners is some kind of aversion therapy for you. The sheer pain on your face (and entire being) when the cringe hits 11 can't be fun so I hope the therapy works.😁

2025-04-21 21:14:50 +0000 UTCI’m so glad you just about enjoyed this one, Klaire. You’re a fabulous reactor. Series 2 really gets into the swing of things. Once you know the characters and understand that, like all the best UK comedy, nothing will ever go right for them, but they genuinely care for each other, in spite of being a complete odd couple, it becomes almost moving as well as very funny.

2025-04-21 20:22:41 +0000 UTCRe. the meaning of the Hair Blair Bunch, it's basically the birth of two Peep Show running jokes in one: the names that Jez and Hans' band goes through, and repeated references to Tony Blair. This would've been around the time of the War On Terror and Blair becoming more of a divisive figure in British politics, and Jez and Hans are a couple of idiots who think that a rubbish joke on his name makes their band sound countercultural and political. It's one of the jokes that really dates the show. That and the Blockbusters fine.

2025-04-21 19:47:43 +0000 UTCPeep show does get better and better, especially from the second series onwards.just be patient and stick with it...there's many more interesting characters that join the cast,and the story lines get more interesting..and the cringe level elevated.
