Paper Peach (preview)

While waiting for the 3D model commission in progress, and while gh0stVX is programming the 3D POV game, I've decided to work on my own small project to fill the gap. Here is an early look at the Paper Peach game I started last week.

The gameplay will be very similar to Tower of Torture, where you control Mario, out in the world collecting as many coins as he can to rescue the princess.

Besides the simplistic art style, the main difference is that the Beast and Princess have been programmed to feel extremely real, and alive. This video demonstrates how the Beast takes his time with the princess, and tries to enjoy himself as much as possible. He basically uses her to edge himself, which is indicated by the audio. Then, when he gets too close, he takes a breather.

This is all achieved with detailed programming, which means Bowser is carrying out this behaviour automatically. I hope that watching the Beast taking the time to savour his time with YOUR princess, while you're out there risking your life to save her will get you very hot and bothered. And since it's all unfolding naturally... how long you have left before the unthinkable happens is anyone's guess.
