Animation

Does this animation feel different to most others? You might have noticed that most animations are a short loop, while others are longer and more detailed. I'm pretty happy with how this one came out, and I'd love to put more time into making more long, detailed messages like this one, to show off the Princess's personality more. Hopefully I can get the right balance between the two.

What do you prefer? Short loops with a range of positions, or the longer detailed animations?

A think a healthy mix is good. Some longer animations are great, but if the majority are longer that can't loop naturally, I think defeats the purpose. Bowser sends most of the longer ones and Peach sending most of the looping ones perhaps?

I guess the explainable reason for that is that she has no idea how good it is going to feel.

You should really be careful with animations like this though. It looks painful since there's no indication that she's wet. It's definitely nice quality but that lowers it a bit.

Id definitely agree with longer is better for most of the reasons listed here, just because more is usually better. But to play devil's advocate, shorter animations allow you to see more changes in emotions in a way that feels natural. By showing a different expression in each animation, you leave that part to the imagination.

Longer for change of positions and changes in her attitude. Shorter for small changes. There should be different scenes for the different choices the player makes to give the game good replay value. Like ones where she is curious about the penetration from the beginning and ones where she tries to resist but gives in to the pleasure.

That's really good, though it does make me wonder who's taking the video (probably some lucky cloud based enemy, heh) We could use some more longer animations, but they should also be able to loop unless it's really long

From one animator to another these look great! And since you’re consistently on model they don’t stand out from the others in a negative way. I wouldnt go convert the old ones, as others have said there’s room for both! You could play with pacing alot, see at what points u want a shot to be more dramatic and worked out and smartly use loops to build up to those moments (and save yourself some work, i know the loops are a little easier, but they’re not necessarily worse for it if used smartly! Which so far you seem to be doing!)

Yeah, agreed. It's delicious. Go for the longer ones for the beginning of a scene, with loops for small changes. I have one quesiton though. Who's holding the camera?

Yeah, great point. I was hugely inspired by Playshapes' Bowsers New Castle. That game had about 12 messages total, but they were all hugely impactful. I feel my game lost a lot of that impact when each message is just another random pose. But I want to have a wide range of poses, so it's hard to decide what to do. I could potentially work on converting all the existing animations into longer ones, and spreading them out throughout the different timelines. so for example he can pop her peach in different ways each time

Imo this is the best one you have done so far. I dont think you need long animations for every scene but perhaps a long animationfor the start of new a position and then a shorter loop to keep the scene going

definitely have to say the longer detailed animations. they feel more like a video that would be sent and makes the messages more impactful. having a rapid barrage of short loops is somewhat tiring and feels like little in terms of progress in the story so to speak. for me anyways.

Longer and detailed is good however the shorter ones leave a lot to the imagination like “oh sorry plumber boy we were to busy having fun we forgot to record more!” But longer videos make for a better fapping experience
