Stream stuff + a new side thing?
Added 2025-05-13 15:40:01 +0000 UTCI had an idea that came from a conversation with a friend (can't remember it exactly) - what if inside bugs (a ladybug in this instance) was a tiny little fairy controlling it like a mech?
I did a bunch of test-sketches and I might delve into the topic a bit more, because I don't feel like I achieved what I wanted. I'm aiming for a contrast of realistic/gross insect body and cute/anime fairy.

Some fairy-pilot arthropod-mech ideas for you (cuz I’m really excited for this side project haha) * Millipede train: a fairy conductor in the head and then a whole train full of other fairies in cozy compartments along the body * Praying mantis battle mech with two-fairy crew. One fairy (the gunner/navigator) would stand upright in the thorax, looking out through the head, to operate the head/mandibles and offensive arms. Second fairy (the pilot) sits behind on the abdomen and controls the wings and legs. * Water striders as jet skis! This would be so fun. The fairy could straddle the slender body of the water strider and skip gracefully over the surface of the water. * Jumping spiders used as cute little compact cars. Actually, you could have spiders as all kinds of cars: tarantulas as pickup trucks, yellow garden spiders as taxis, with little web parking spaces. There’s such great variety in spider body shapes for a variety of cars. * Darwin’s beetle, Hercules beetle, rhino beetle, stag beetle, etc. as excavators, construction vehicles, heavy industry mechs. * Lobster submarines: I’m thinking of the giant leviathan from the Disney Atlantis movie, but less horrifying haha

2025-05-16 16:48:35 +0000 UTCI really like this! It’s a fun concept, especially for someone like me who finds insects and other arthropods, as well as cute fairy butts, really cool! I personally love the titillating but not overtly sexual scene you’ve drawn here. Sex with bugs in erotica has always been a step too creepy for my taste, so the fairy showing her assets while maintaining a platonic partnership with the beetle looks awesome to me.
