The City Pass stuff is fun but the real enchantment of the city is the park system. The ravines are magic. Go out to the Toronto Island and take your child to CentreVille. I live out on the Scarborough Bluffs near the Guild Park and there's nothing quite like it. The Zoo is a little north of where I am. High Park is also lovely and the young one can watch the ducks on the pond. Nearby is Toronto Adventures, where you can either paddle your own boat or paddle on a longboat down the Humber River. I haven't been to the Aquarium yet but my brother really liked it. Little Canada is supposed to be great as well. I don't know how long you're here for but the Toronto Fringe starts on July 3rd and Kids Fest has great theatre for the whole family. Oakville will have Canada Day celebrations that you can go to closer to the family. My brother raised his family there - it's a nice place.

So far we've been spending time with family and checking out stuff on the City Pass in Toronto, as well as some food around Kensington Market. we're not easy companions, traveling with a 3-year old and organising stuff around him, but we'll take recommendations!
