So it has come to my attention that there are apparently free comic sites that host The Cummoner that have uploaded pages that aren't even available here on Patreon.
For some time I've been working on pages to build up a buffer in case of an emergency, so the comic continues if I need to take time off- you probably all know by now that I have a small baby and life is unpredictable. I've been scheduling the pages to appear on Patreon and the website http://totempole666.com - and it seems obvious that someone simply accessed them (probably by guessing the file names) and uploaded them to other sites.
I'm sorry about this. It won't happen again. I don't think it's worth trying to get other websites to pull the pages, but I can ensure the files won't be accessible in future.

Oh wow that SUCKS! I remember wordpress used to block access to folders in this way... Gotta find out how to hide it.

Also i tend to agree with M.Roberts. Since most pages end up on your website anyways other sites just increase your visibility for free. Spending time and money trying to take them down is just not worth the effort.

2022-04-06 01:51:46 +0000 UTCDon't even need to guess. I know the internet looks super fancy today, but a directory is just a directory. Using a fairly rudimentary script, you can scrape all sorts of data from a site, basically effort free.
