Haha, I mean.. one can argue about it being sci fi and not fantasy..a lot of people love star wars but dislike lord of the rings and vice versa..both essentially have the same things and themes. I think he meant that..leaning on "magic" is not something he enjoys, coz then nothing is explained properly and the only explanation is "magic" which is not the case here for sure. I love and later you will see the others, quite certainly enjoy Aot and the explanations given.
