Today we have another new character, with a pretty explicit first appearance too.

I always enjoy coloring characters with red hair and I definitely used that to my advantage here, with the colors being easily my favorite part about it. It reminds me a bit of older stuff I used to do but with the improved technique from the last few years and a much cleaner look.

The lighting also plays a bit role. I wanted to do something with a low light and intimate mood, with the brighter lights hitting the face and breasts so thats where your eyes are drawn to at first. I always like doing that with this kind of pic since it helps desexualize it a bit with the bottom area being in shadow, so that its naturally harder to see and you have to actively look around there.

Of course this time the commissioner was also a big fan of pubic hair so she has a considerable amount, and with it being red its also a bit of a different look, but I think Ive finally settled on a consistent way to do it which works for any color and I really like the way it looks here.

Speaking of the red hair I always like to give it a darker gradient (similar to what I do with my characters) rather than just have it be one shade of red throughout, and I applied that to all of the hair, tail and bush. It just looks so good to me, I always love duo tone hair even if its just a subtle gradient.

Then the blue eyes + eyeshadow add a nice contrast to all the warm tones, being pretty much the only cold color in the whole pic (which again pulls your eyes towards them). Ive been thinking I should find a way to add more blue to my stuff in general, I feel like most of the time the lack of blue is whats making the colors not pop as much as I want them to (theres a reason every movie uses that blue + orange combo nowadays, but then again, if everything looks the same thats also boring).

I think technically this is one of the best Ive done this year and its one of those moments where I wish everything looked this good but yeah, every character and scene is different so its not as simple as doing the same thing again. Ill just have to figure it out one by one, but Ill keep trying things and seeing what works, its the only way forward.
