Added 2025-01-26 16:06:39 +0000 UTCSo this was an FFXIV commission and the last pic I did in 2024, right at the end of the year (although I still have 2 more pics from last year to post).
As usual it was something that took me way longer to get to than I wanted but I hadnt done a scene like this in a long time so it was pretty intimidating, so I had to wait for a time when I was feeling more confident to tackle it.
The character itself is a highlander which you dont see often, and Im not a fan of how they are depicted in game since they tend to be too masculine in both physique and body language (I hate their default standing pose), but of course this being my art I can do whatever I want and so, I made her more feminine to fit my tastes.
For those who dont recognize it, her design is inspired by the character of the same name from Nier Replicant, although I did some small changes to things like the hair, adding that extra braid over the shoulder. And obviously the much bigger chest.
Her breasts being visible was a key part of it, but as I often do, I wanted to add some clothing to give it a more elegant look, and I thought a simple dress with stockings worked nicely. One thing I was very undecided on were the colors though, I almost went with a blue dress similar to what Nier Kaine wears, but in the end black narrowly won. You just cant go wrong with it really, black always looks good, and here especially because of the red of the "couch".
As for the scene the idea I was pitched was her sitting at a bar having a drink, but I tried to make it more intimate as I usually do, with her being in a private corner of sorts. Then I tried to give it a whole luxirious vibe with the lighting and plants and stuff. Was pretty challenging but I think it turned out ok in the end.
I generally always prefer natural light and thats a big part of why I like doing those scenes with windows and such. I feel like I have a much harder time making synthetic lights look good, although you can also create a great mood when you do it right (Afterhours was a good example). I guess like most things its a matter of practice. But yeah happy to finally get it done after so long.

Given how little her blue dress actually leaves to the imagination, I figure Kaine is the kind of girl that just doesn't care if she is on display in public especially if the setting is right. And she is definitely a display that has been perfectly set.

An ffxiv commission featuring a hyur is as rare as hyur players in general lol What a pleasant surprise :] I didn't pick up on the NieR reference sadly as I only played Automata. I was considering playing Replicant but a good friend of mine has dissuaded me from doing that T_T But back to pic at hand, I thinkl she turned out great. Being a broken record here but amazing job on the breasts but also, I really like her expression. She seems lost in thought while casually sipping her wine(?), showing me a gentler side of what I normally associate with highlanders :] Everywhere you look there's something to keep your eyes on really, her legs included. How her thighs, partially cover, tease you, makes you yearn for more. The bar feels like a very nice setting for this kind of intimate lighting. I am assuming that she has a vip room all to herself though given her state of undress. As always, pleasantly surprised with each commission so, keep them coming and I'll be looking forward to the next week ;]
