I said I wanted to do more Hanya and so I did. I knew I wanted a back pic next and I hadnt done one in a while too so that lined up perfectly.

This was one of the quickest pics Ive ever done, almost finishing it in a single day (some times it takes me a whole day just to finish a sketch so that puts it into perspective). I remember finishing the sketch and then being like "huh, is that it? do I just color it now?" because it was so fast. Mostly due to the face not being visible, which always takes me a while to get right, but I think the back in general just has less detail overall so that also sped things up.

So instead I just spent most of the time on the shading and I got some great practice in. I think its the kind of pic I wouldnt have been able to do a while ago because it would have looked too flat and bland but with the increased contrast from darker shadows Ive been doing lately and just how smooth it looks in general, it turned out great.

The hardest part was probably the area at the bottom with the water, because its something I always struggle with. Water is hard in general but also merging the character into it and having it all blend together seamlessly. Then it was a matter of adding those bits of water running down her skin plus the highlights that give it a shinier texture to make it look wet. Its something I still need a lot more practice in because I rarely do it but again Im pretty happy with the result.

As for the background I kept it very minimal but I still wanted to add the petals to give it a more dreamlike/fantasy look, plus some splash of red, which almost always looks great. I did have to be careful not to make them stand out too much so the focus would remain on Hanya (and her head specifically).

I still wanna draw her more, maybe a full body next time? I havent decided yet so we will see. Either way, there is so little fan art of her due to her being a 4 star that Im happy to contribute to it. Im sure there are more Hanya fans out there who will be happy to see more of her.
