Been excited to post this one ever since I finished it back in January. It took me a long time to do but it was totally worth it and I really enjoyed it so I didnt mind that.
I just wanted to do a full frontal nude view with a classical feel to it, and of course a gothic touch too. Originally she wasnt even wearing anything at all, but as usual I started to feel like something was missing, and then as soon as I tried adding the sheer gown I was like "omg, so much better". It really adds to the elegance and general feel of the scene, especially with those fur parts, and of course it adds a lot of contrast with the skin.
And on that note I really wanted to do something darker for this one, where she would immediately stand out from the background. The challenge then was to make it interesting somehow, which I did mostly through the shading/lighting. It took a lot of work over a few days and I kept iterating on it but it was great practice and hopefully Ill be able to put it to use on future stuff too. This is also why I made one of those steps pics for this one because its such a huge difference going from flat colors to the final version and you can really see how much good lighting can improve a scene.
For her look I also went with the darker make up Ive been using lately. Ever since "Stay" Ive been really into it and I think the wine red goes so well with her. Same goes for the hairstyle with the assymetrical bangs being longer on one side, plus the pink to black gradient. And for the back of the hair I went with a bit more of an anime bun style which is another thing I always like and it works so well here, so Ill definitely do more of it. All in all I just love this look, it all comes together so well, especially how the black of the hair then combines with the clothes and pubes.
Speaking of which, that was another thing I paid a lot of attention to. Its something Im a big fan of so Ive been trying to do more of it, picking poses where the crotch area is visible for that reason. When it comes to pubic hair, just like with breasts (or hairstyle), more so than the amount its the shape that matters most, so thats what I focused on. Its also easier with black because I can just do it with lines so I think this is definitely the best version Ive done so far, but its something Ill keep working on and trying to improve.
But yeah thats about it, this one immediately went into my phone and Im still not tired of looking at it after all this time, probably in my top 3 of her pics. I definitely need to do more of this kind of darker scene, I think its where my style really shines because the muted colors work so well with it. Its just harder because Im not used to it anymore and the approach to lighting the scene is very different since I cant just rely on the back light from a window and such like I usually do, but with practice that shouldnt be a problem.
