Added 2024-03-03 16:35:43 +0000 UTCLong time since I posted a viera, so long I dont even remember what the last one was, but I did a couple of viera bust commissions recently so here is one of them.
Once again she has those colors I like with the tan skin and blonde hair, something that often looks trashy irl but for some reason it just works in fantasy, at least the way I do it anyway with the more muted colors. I think the key with this kind of thing is to always try to make it look natural.
For this one since she has pretty long hair we just started with the idea of having it drape over her breasts sort of covering them (but not really, lol), and then I wanted to add some clothing as well and thought a sweater would go great with it, since it always has that comfy look. Of course once again, with that sensual state of undress, with it falling off and exposing shoulders and all that. I should definitely do sweaters more often since the "naked sweater" look is one of my favorites.
Also something thats always a bit challenging with viera portraits is the ears. They are way too tall and it makes it impossible to do the usual composition youd expect without cutting them off at the top, which is exactly what I did. Ive tried a few different approaches before but for now I think this works best, so that the head isnt too low in the pic composition wise, and I have enough space for the body as well.
One thing I do like about it is having light hit the ears always look great, especially the gap in between them. Its perfect for the backlit scenes I usually do with light coming from the window and such, as with this one.
But yeah overall I just wanted to do something warm and comfy and I really like how it turned out. Was one of those that went very smoothly and turned out pretty much exactly as I imagine.
Last month was pretty unproductive since there was a lot going on at the same time so I need to get back to it, got a lot I wanna do plus commissions and stuff. But I also still have a lot of things to post from before, such as the pic my avatar is based off of. Ive been wanting to post that ever since I finished it so maybe that will be next.
