Another Star Rail character Ive been wanting to draw ever since I saw her. Sadly she is a 4 star so she has already become obsolete and mostly forgotten, but she still has my favorite design (and voice, in japanese) in the game.

As usual with characters I havent drawn before it took me a while before I got her look down, especially the face and hair. When she was originally revealed people joked about her being "depressed Shenhe" and how she has that "dead inside" look. So I wanted to make sure I nailed that, including details like the darker area under the eyes, which makes it look like she hasnt slept in 5 years, lol. Either way, if youre into goth girls youre gonna like Hanya thats for sure.

In terms of body type she is a pretty perfect match for me, Ive always imagined her as being pretty busty, with saggier breasts and large areolae. Very similar look to my au ra pretty much, even down to the paleness, lol.

Anyway, I was pretty undecided about how much clothing I wanted to give her for this one. I think this would have looked really good with her wearing a kimono as well, but at the time I guess I was in lingerie mood so thats what I went for.

Another thing was the nails, they are black in game so that was the obvious thing to go with specially to match the lips which is what I usually do, but I wanted to try matching them to the hair instead and I really liked how they added a bit more color so I went with that instead.

For the hair itself, it also took me a while to find the right color. Its supposed to be this blueish gray and if you look around at art of her, youll see people making it anywhere from just plain gray to plain blue, so yeah. I tried to do a nice gradient as usual, and in the end I went a bit heavier on the blue (especially towards the tips) because I thought it looked best here and stood out a bit more.

When it comes to the scene I could definitely have gone for something darker, but after playing around with it for a while I settled for something Im comfortable with and just tried to avoid it being too boring through the lightning and such.

Also for some reason I didnt keep the sketch for this one, I must have deleted it by mistake or something because I remember seeing it on my sketch folder, oh well.

I wanna draw her some more too, I think next I wanna do a back pic because I really like how she looks from the back, especially because of her hair. But between that, other characters (Black Swan and Acheron are definitely on the list), my au ra, and commissions, no idea when Ill get to it. This was a very slow month too so I need to step it up in March again so I can catch up a bit.
