Descent

Hadnt drawn my au ra in a while (since May actually) and Ive also been doing a lot of full body pics lately so I wanted to do a bust this time. Along with that, I wanted to try doing something with a lower angle/view from below, which is something Im a big fan of due to how close it lets you get to the character, plus its just more dynamic than a normal frontal pic.

Of course, as with a lot of things its easier said than done, lol. Anything with perspective is always hard and for me especially drawing faces from below is really challenging, so that was something I was pretty worried about, if Id be able to pull it off at all. It did take me a bit of tweaking to get it to look right but fortunately it fell into place pretty quickly and in the end the face is one of my favorite things about it. It helps that I love this kind of look/expression in general, very "dominant" and lustful you could say, but without being arrogant.

Other than that, obviously the other main draw is the breasts. Originally I had them both just being pushed in by her arms but I also hadnt done a breast grab pic in a while, so I thought Id give that a try and it worked really well. I think this pose and the way she is "presenting" herself, will definitely appeal to anyone who has similar tastes to me, lol.

For the make up I went with a darker red similar to "Stay" (which has become one of my favorites over the last few months, I look at it all the time) and I think its probably something Ill always do going forward when I give her more of a "goth" look with a lot of black and such.

Lastly, youll also notice I brought back the wings from "Darker Thoughts", which was once again not planned from the start, but with how the whole pic is set up, I thought they framed the upper corners so perfectly I couldnt help but use them again. I do love this look in general, it gives her more of a succubus vibe which Im all for, and I think the reason the wings work so well is they go with the smaller wings she often wears on her horns. I feel like they just complete the look.

On that note, this pic really made me wonder what a full "hybrid" succubus version of her would be like. Maybe one of these days Ill do a full body take on it just for fun. One of my favorite things about drawing her is just constantly trying new stuff and evolving her design, while keeping in mind her ffxiv/au ra roots of course, so yeah. Its fun seeing how far she has come from the first few times I drew her.

Just to end the post I wanted to say I didnt post in the last 2 weeks because Ive been dealing with some awful anxiety since last month. It kinda came out of nowhere and yeah, back in July it got really bad, to a point I was struggling to do anything, constantly in a state of panic. The problem is art is the main cause of it, so I had to step away from drawing for a while and focus on recovering, which fortunately worked wonders. Im still not completely back to normal so Im being careful about it but Im trying to get things back on track (and do the commissions I took last month as well, I have quite a few of them, lol) but yeah, mental health comes first and I really want to avoid going back to that place, so in the near future if I miss a week here and there, thats why.

For now you can definitely count on a post next week though, since Ive almost finished it (and hopefully Ill do a few more things throughout the week).
