Q'letkha

Another miqo'te commission (which will probably be followed by another one, it just happened to line up that way). As with most of these, this was something from last year that I never got to do until now.

I had actually starting sketching this months ago but at the time I just couldnt get anything done so I left it sitting there until I was in the mood to pick it back up, which finally happened last week. It probably helped that Ive been doing more of these full body dress pics lately so Im feeling more confident about them.

As usual I wanted to do that kind of "isekai" scene of having her in a real world setting, and "Riverside" was definitely a big reference for the general vibe, although this one has warmer colors which I thought would fit this character well.

This should go for pretty much everything I do but this is one of those that benefits a lot from zooming in due to her freckles, since she has them all over her body and its a key part of the character. Then another thing that will be instantly noticeable is the extra marks she has on her body aside from the usual ones on the cheeks. I tried to do them in a way that they would match the default markings and be positioned in places where they dont stand out too much as to take away from the rest. And in general Im usually a fan of people adding something to their character that isnt available in game since always makes it more fresh (especially since Ive done hundreds of ffxiv characters over the years lol).

I also got rid of the forehead braid that I never really liked with this hairstyle. I think it looks much better like this, plus I made the ponytail longer as well which goes with the long dress. And still on the topic of hair (kinda), another thing was the bigger, fluffy tail which is also something I always like. I tried to add some extra lines and shading to it so it looks extra fluffy and really makes you wanna touch it, lol.

For the dress Im always really into these super long ones that go all the way to the floor so I did one of those. I tried a few different things with the design but I really liked this one with the side/arm straps and the cleavage window. Its one of those things thats hard to explain logically but when I look at a character I feel like I know which kind of thing they would or wouldnt wear based on both character design and personality, so I just try to get as close to it as possible. I think the gold jewelry helps give her a more refined look too and it doesnt stand out too much due to her colors already being warm, especially the hair.

Anyway Im really happy with it overall, both as far as the character goes, but also the general technical aspects like colors, lighting, and how soft and clean it looks.

This will probably not be the last youll see of her either (the plan is to eventually do 3 pics, with them being progressively more revealing), and I really enjoyed doing this one so hopefully Ill get the other two done as well.
