Wanted to see if I could get some commissions done, and decided to start with a Kei bust. I wanted it to be revealing but cute/innocent as usual with her pics.

After I had the pose done, I thought rather than having it be cropped at the waist, since it has that slight view from above, it would be a good chance to have her bottom half submerged instead. And then from that I got the idea to do a hot springs scene, which is something I hadnt done in ages and used to be one of my favorite things. I think what makes it so appealing is its technically outdoors/public nudity, but keeps the intimate feel you get from an indoors scene, so you kinda get the best of both.

A detail I thought added a lot to the scene was the towel, having her holding it in a way that its flowing along the water. I feel like it also adds some movement to it since it makes me imagine her walking along the water. And of course I had to make it see through (especially because it would be wet anyway).

And on the topic of wetness, I tried to give her a bit of that wet skin look as well which is something Im not very good at, but I think its good enough to get the idea across.

For the colors/lightning I tried a few things but in the end I just couldnt avoid going back to the usual "dreamy pink" I tend to use often with her pics (and that I used to do a lot with my own character too a few years ago). It just always looks the best, so its hard to do anything else.

But yeah as I said at the start, gonna see if I can do some more commissions now. I had a bunch of requests at the end of last year that I never got done and Im always stressing about it, especially because my artistic confidence is at an all time low, lol. I never feel like Ill be able to do something worthwhile so I keep putting them off and it just turns into this endless negative loop thats really hard to get out of.

Its all digital, though I started with traditional art and my first few commissions were pencil on paper, I still never mailed anything since thats just a huge hassle, lol (especially since my "clients" come from all around the world) so I always just scanned stuff and sent it to people online Ive had people print and frame their commissions though, but thats all up to them

who ever requested this one is a lucky buyer! She's breath taking. Do you do them as digital art or traditional that you then have to send through the mail?

I really like the atmosphere you made for this character, the next position will be a commission?
