Riverside

Finally did something new. I could have posted this last week but I wanted to get a few more things done, plus I dont like posting stuff Ive just finished anyway since I often find small things I wanna tweak (which was the case here).

This was one of the unfinished sketches Ive had around for ages, since last year really, that I didnt know what to do with so I just put them on hold until I came up with something. I had a general idea of what I wanted from the start which was to draw her in an elegant evening dress, but beyond that I had no clue, like what the dress was gonna look like, the setting, etc. So that took a while experimenting with different things until I found something I was happy with.

As for details, I didnt wanna do anything too complex with the dress or the general look, so I didnt even add any jewelry or anything, the combo of just dress + heels is perfect. Even with the dress itself, I knew I wanted it to have some deep cleavage and a good view of the legs, but thats basically it. Then I just added some bows on the back of the dress, heels and hair for extra cuteness, along with the sparkly texture which always works great with this kind of look.

For the background I remembered how much I liked "November" and how good she looks around red trees/leaves so I wanted to do more of that. The whole pink-red-black combo is just very soft and great to look at, plus it looks pretty exotic. One of those things I never get tired of.

Im glad I didnt give up on it since now looking back at the finished version, its very close to what I had in mind, and as I said its something Ive wanted to do for a long time. These kinds of dress pics are always big favorites of mine even if theyre definitely not the easiest and I wanna do more of them with different dresses and everything (but coming up with nice dress designs is hard, I always feel like I have no idea what to do since Im very picky about fashion, as with most things).

Anyway this one went straight into my phone as soon as I finished it since the porportions fit really well with my screen.

Ive also done 2 other pics last week, with the next one being a Genshin character I hadnt drawn yet but is one of my favorites so I wanted to get that out of the way. Ill probably try to do some commissions as well to make up for the last few months of nothing so expect the usual, some ffxiv chars, some genshin, and some star rail since Ive also been playing that and loving it.
