Added 2022-12-04 17:17:39 +0000 UTCToday we have a commission of a xaela. The idea was to do something with focus on the ponytail and legs, but I think you get a bit of everything really.
This was another one that went really smoothly and whenever thats the case, the result tends to be really good as well. You have a lot of my usual elements like the moody indoors lighting, the pillows, and the babydoll. Seriously, babydolls have to be one of the best pieces of clothing ever invented, lol I dont think there is anything that mixes eroticism, playfulness and elegance in the same way. Its similar to why ponytails are so good.
I also knew from the start I wanted to do an eyes closed expression, because its another magical thing that somehow desexualizes everything, and it just felt right with this pose.
Then it was just a matter of playing around with colors, I added gradients to pretty much everything, but especially hair and scales, because blue and purple is another instant win combo. And I did bring back the glitter on the scales, I feel like it works even better on xaela due to them being dark blue, which goes with what I said last post of how it gives me starry night sky vibes.
Another small detail I tried here was adding light particles around the highlights of things, which also worked great. I feel like it adds more depth to the light (and the pic in general I guess).
I think thats about all I have to say about it. Im really happy with it once again, its been a really nice streak lately with everything going smoothly. Although I think thats also due to my "shotgun" approach of just working on a bunch of things at once and doing something else whenever I hit a wall, so I never really feel "stuck". Plus it gives me a much better idea of what stuff really looks like, compared to just looking at the same thing all day.
