Shimmering Lights
Added 2022-11-27 16:52:18 +0000 UTCBeen wanting to do more dress pics since the Ningguang one before the break so I decided to get that started earlier this week, using my au ra as the subject. I have a full body in mind too but wanted to do a portrait first with a bigger focus on face, hair, and breasts of course.
The dress was actually meant to be black but I always like to try different colors for stuff in case there is a better option I missed, and just like with Ningguang I found white to look perfect here. I thought it added even more to the elegant and "luxurious" look.
I considered adding some jewelry as well (like a pearl necklace and such) but I found that I liked this simple look the most, with the focus just on her and the dress, and thats why I left out the wing accessories that she usually wears on her head/horns as well. I thought this was one of the rare pics where she looked better without them.
I also brought back the extra freckles I tried on "Sheer" and safe to say Im keeping them from now on because I absolutely love how much detail they add to her skin, and how she looks even more natural and "realistic".
After that it was a matter of figuring out the scene. The hard part about it is that I wanted something with a night time feel to it, but still bright and warm, which is usually the opposite of what you expect when you think night time. The answer was to just do one of those pics with a heavy depth of field and bokeh lights, which is something Ive always liked anyway. I also kept it as simple as possible for the same reason as above, to keep the focus completely on her without any distractions.
I think the overall aesthetic is really consistent so Im really happy with the final look. Its one of those that I keep going back to and looking at even after having already spent so many hours on it, which is always a good sign, lol.
