This summer was just awful, I must have had some case of extreme burnout because I just had no motivation for anything. Didnt even feel like playing games which pretty much never happens, so thats when you know its bad, lol.
Meanwhile I kept stacking things into my idea folder so I just have a million things I wanna do now but I was always terrified of getting started on anything, thinking it wouldnt live up to my expectations and Id feel even worse, so its easy to see how things can spiral out of control. Its kinda like that meme Ive seen where new ideas always seem more appealing than previous ones, so you just keep switching around and never get anything done.
Anyway, finally settled on one and to my surprise, I actually like the final look more than what I originally had in mind. I did spend a lot of time tweaking the face and pose and such to make things more dynamic, so thats probably why. But Im especially happy with the colors/shading and how soft and detailed everything looks. Plus sheer fabric is always incredibly sexy to look at and I feel like I nailed it with the transparency and texture.
And since I always like to experiment with her look, I also tried some new touches here with the glitter on the make up and hair and the light freckles, and I love how it looks. I dont want her to have like redhead level freckles (those are great, but wouldnt fit her), but I think this amount is perfect.
I think next up Ill do some genshin chars plus one or two ffxiv commissions. I need to make up for how many patrons I lost thanks to this hiatus, lol. But at the same time Im amazed so many people still stuck around, I really appreciate that. Its really what enables me to continue doing art for a living. Though I hope I can get back to regular posts in the next few months and gain back a bunch of the ones I lost (or new ones I guess).
Anyway I hope you enjoy this one. Im really happy with it myself (personal character bias aside) and its a huge relief to finally get something done again.
