Added 2021-09-26 15:59:01 +0000 UTCAnother of those commissions which had been in limbo since last year, so I was glad I finally got it done. It also lined up nicely with the commissioners birthday so that was a plus.
This one is actually a bit hard to explain because while the base model for this character technically comes from FFXIV, its been heavily modded so it might as well just be a completely original character. Plus what I did here wasnt one specific character look, but sort of a mix of characters based on their tastes (think someone who does a LOT of characters, lol).
So the general look I was going for was obviously the goth type, with a focus on mature beauty/elegance (you could even say she has that femme fatale vibe). One thing that plays a big part in this is I made her face a bit more angular than usual (usually I go for rounder, cuter faces) and also with more aggressive eyes, for the lack of a better word.
Then picking the right clothes was also really important of course. I wanted something that would look both casual and elegant and Im actually super happy with how they turned out. Probably gonna do it this kind of top again because I like it so much, with that texture and bit of transparency.
Theres also the tattoo which did take some extra effort but fortunately its an easy design which is why I didnt mind doing it in the first place, since usually Id just turn down anything with complex tattoos because it would be a huge time sink and my drawings already take too long as it is.
For the background its pretty similar to the last one I did, an indoors scene with an exotic feeling and lots of plants (and not just any plants, I wanted to include lavender due to reasons). Though this time it was also requested by the commissioner so it just happened to coincide what I do anyway. The butterflies were a last minute addition, just because I felt like it was missing something and indeed they do add a lot to the pic, especially because of that blue. But again glad I did because it worked out really well.
Think thats all I have to say about this one. I think next is either gonna be a fan art of something of my au ra, but we will see.

Waooow, she's wonderful ! Make me think she's the lead singer of a symphonic metal band ! lol The tatto is really great and work so well with the choice of clothes and her design. I really dig also the contrast of her color scheme and the background, it makes her pop out more ! :3

You know at first glance I didn't even think it was a tattoo, the design works so well with the top that I thought you had created a collar that matched the top. Once I read the description and took proper time to soak in the details did I really see the extent of the tattoo and it looks amazing.

She looks like someone used to getting her way haha. The background is amazing I love your use of the blue. You're knocking em out of the park Sora!
