Added 2021-04-15 16:15:37 +0000 UTCIve had this one done for about a week actually but I wanted to wait a bit before posting it, especially when I remembered the new ffxiv patch was releasing on the 13th and knowing a lot of people here play it, I definitely didnt wanna post on patch day (even though I havent played it myself, Ive decided to wait until close to the expansion to do the 5.5 story without having to wait months after a possible cliffhanger).
Anyway, this is another character Ive wanted to draw for years (literally), and it should be obvious why.
The original plan was to draw her in the red dress, but when I sketched it I wasnt really feeling it, so I decided to go for the kimono look instead and I liked it way more (although I did some small modifications as usual). I also left the mask out because the fact its not symmetrical was triggering me and ruining the composition.
The really weird thing was, this went through a lot of changes color wise. It looked very bright and color throughout most of the process but then at the end I started experimenting as usual and I felt like I was missing something, I just couldnt get that finished/polished look I wanted (always one of the hardest parts and something Im rarely happy with). Im not sure why thats a thing or how it works because I just do everything based on intuition, though I think it has to do mostly with how consistent the artstyle is, meaning how well everything goes together (character, background, lines, shading, lighting, colors), but when I arrived at this look I knew this was it, it just looks right.
Also posting the sketch since I really liked it and I think it has its own appeal. It looked really innocent/cute which would be perfect for another character, but in the case of Taihou I wanted her to look a bit more womanly, with a more aggressive/confident touch, so thats why I did some small touches to the face in the final one. As always it will come down to personal preference but the key for me is always to make characters as faithful to the original as possible in terms of feel.
Well thats it for today. I have a bunch of sketches in the works but not sure which one Ill finish next yet. Plus Ive been playing Trails of Cold Steel 4 (my favorite jrpg series) which also really made me want to draw some characters from that (especially since there is so little fan art of trails out there) but we will see. My mood changes very quickly so I never know what Im gonna be feeling like doing the next day, lol.

As much as I don't want to be the ones that gawk and leave a single sentence, there's not much I can say. She looks beautiful, the shoulders exposed and the generous cleavage are very attractive and beautiful.Not to mention the lip bite and the slight peek at her nipples, areola, whichever. But I don't forget that this is art and not outright smut. It's beautiful. It's sensual. It shows the gentle and albeit sexy frame of the female figure and it has not changed since I first saw your art. I am still glad to visualize and imagine how sensitive it must feel and how delicate it is to draw. Really liking her confident and sensual expression. Biting lip, slightly squinted eyes, the eye contact and tilted head, all those make her look playful and inviting but still sends a message that she is going to be the one in charge. :] Most of her top uncovered really looks stunning. With naked shoulders and neck...not to mention breasts. Looking both soft and heavy, with visible veins and areolas those are quite the sight. Also really liking how the light is cast on them in a way that enhances their size. Hands hidden in the sleeves is another thing I really like. Whether for a cute or a bueautiful girl, this always does its job at enhancing their charm. Bottom nudity is something that took me by surprise. A pleasant one of course, not to mention it looks really well along with naked thighs.. Really looking forward to seeing more of course. As for the Trails' characters, I'd say hit the iron while it's hot. Of course there's no rush and I do love being surprised with each new art. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more. ;]

I have to say the first time I looked at it I didnt notice she is not wearing any panties at all, the boobs really took my attention a lot lol and I have to say wow they look soft and squishy, like pillows... I also really like the colours, how pale she looks but then her eyes and the red kimono along with the green in there too really make it look more colourful. I also am a fan of her expression, that lip bite is quite something along with her pose being kinda forward, as if showing herself off... She also has a mature and very womanly feel compared to the sketch just like you said. Kinda almost like 2 diff drawings if I am not seeing things in details (sketch vs finished but you did say you did some touches so probably not seeing things). I am a fan of how this looks and looking forward to more. As was said by others you would make rather good Trails chars so that would be something I would welcome seeing since yeah theres not a lot of fanart of them. Sara, Schera and many others (hard to have only a few favs lol)

2021-04-15 22:15:44 +0000 UTCI played Sky first a few years ago, instantly became a Falcom fan and now Ive played every game on steam (even Tokyo Xanadu Ex+) and their games are always one of the highlights of the year for me (cant wait for Ys IX coming to pc soon, 2 Falcom games in one year, YAY) But yeah Trails is something else, its an epic in the true sense of the word... The fact its a continuous story spanning multiple sagas and games over the years is so awesome (seeing so many familiar characters coming together in CS4 was incredible) and I cant wait to see where they go in the future (Falcom president said recently that there are another 20 years of Trails so, bring it on) Its only a shame they take so long to get localized and ported to pc, but considering the gigantic amounts of text I cant ask for more, Im just happy to be able to play them at all Thinking about it, the closest thing to Trails is FFXIV actually, in the sense that its a continuous story which definitely played a big part in why Shadowbringers was so good and emotionally engaging, especially for people who had been playing it from the start like me, and got attached to their character and such... Cant wait to see where they take things with Endwalker, because when I finished ShB I was already thinking "how can they possibly top this?" (also what I am thinking after finishing CS4 lol) Anyway, got carried away lol Schera is definitely one of my favorites and I love how well theyve translated the sky chars into 3D in CS4, they all look amazing... from CS there are a lot of girls I like so its hard to pick, but Id say Sara and Emma are the most likely ones
